Default Unlock PvP skins through PvE

The title speaks for itself. But I'll elaborate it for a little bit.

Whatever weapon skins and armor skins one acquired in PvE, should also be freely unlockable in his PvP chars.

hmmm, i play pvp a lot and would like it, but do you mean this as a sin unlocks ancient armor, only pvp sins can have ancient armor?

It sounds rather smart to me, i hear people complaining about not being able to upgrade armors in pvp (since they don't know about pvp rewards) or it being way to expensive/cost to much rps. I don't think you will satisfy other pvp'ers with it, though.

I don't think they will ever do such a thing. Also, it will be hard with weapons......

The armor unlock is profession wide.

You unlock pvp skins by spending tournament reward points.

I like the idea about the weapons, but speaking about armor...

You suggest having Obsidian Armor on one PvE character would be "enough" to have it unlocked for all existing PvP characers, or any PvP character that will be created on that account? Isn't obsidian supposed to be most prestigeous of the prestige armors in the game? And what about people that only do PvP, and have no PvE character, should they be discriminated like that? I don't think so.

..or by spending Zaishen Coins.

Make identifying different weapons/weapon skins unlock that particular skins for PvP - /signed

Make bought PvE armors unlocked account/profession wise for PvP - /notsigned

pretty much that way.

but like i said, i don't think you will satisfy people with this, i mean buying 1 obi armor on your pve char, and you will have it on all your pvp chars, if you do it that way, you should also think about that if you unlock it on your pvp char (with rps) you should be able to unlock that for your whole account. I like the idea to attract people to making pvp chars, but for any other purpose i would say no. I think they will also get bored by just buying one obi, and have it everywhere for free. The weapon idea, /signed (not totally agreed on it though)

I can see where you want to go, it's not really a bad idea considering most players aren't really getting reward points easily now hero battles are gone( not including sb ats as they're lasting few weeks per year..), but i'm sure then reward points would really have no use apart of zaishen keys..
The identifying --> unlocking is probably the best idea only for weapons, but i think it's a bit too late in the game for this to have any impact ...

An alternative idea, although not at all the same, would be to create an armor you already created at tolkano for free instead of having to use reward points again...

I think if anything like this where to be released it should only be PVP only skins should be released into the pve world. they have tons of skins that rarely get used and there damn sexy too and if I'm not mistaken most pve skins you can get into pvp BUT can't get the pvp only skins in pve which is a shame...

If tournament reward points are awarded in RA, Codex or even in Tombs, I won't even think of posting this suggestion thread.

Actually, come to think of it, they should put them in Codex and only in Codex out those three, to draw more players to it. I could see that working to help make the format as much as an attractive pick-up-and-play as RA is. It's too dead otherwise. Due to the easy nature of entering RA (with any generic PvX build instead of players having to use their head), it would still attract casual players regardless of lesser rewards compared to CA (right now the rewards are the same but Codex is more effort than RA), but it might mean some people play CA too.

Doing things like that to "incentivize" new people playing a format never works when the barrier of being bad still exists. The rewards won't go where you intended them to go.

No, they should not. Special skins are not needed for PvP, so there's no need to make them unlock like upgrades and skills.

All PvE gear needs for PvP is being fully and easily moddable. That is, a way to safely, quickly and fully mod them. We have insignia, rune traders and perfect salvage kits for that, all that's left is inscriptions for all weapons and weapon upgrade traders.

But that doesn't exclude that the PvP skin acquisition could use some change. Currently you get them as single items and only with Tournament points.
Delete the character, you lose the item. Play a lot on all PvP modes that are not tournaments, you get none.

Instead, you should unlock them account-wide and cross-profession. (e.g.: Unlock obsidian armor, unlock it for ALL PvP characters of ALL professions, forever). To get them again once unlocked, either they get added to the PvP item creation panel and some way to sort the list of skins is added (for example, separating them in a folder view) or some sort of NPC has them in lists like hat makers, but separated in categories like the NPC that summons pets.
And there should be another source of unlocks other than tournament points, like getting untradable tokens that can be used to unlock skins every X wins in any mode. Tournament points should still be faster, though.

So? PvP only characters had to sport regular armor and weapons for years while PvE characters ran around in obby. They didn't complain either.

I don't know why they chose to not make PvP skins account wide when spending Zcoins to get them. Complete fail on their part.

For the OP its not the right, nor is it enough, incentive to get people pvping again. To do so would take drastic game changes. PvP is just far to complex and the massive skill combination pool scares people off. This is why JQ reigns supreme. The JQ gametype narrows that skill pool down and its random join makes it less stressful(ppl play to relax).

Needless to say, PvP rewards are cheap as they are now, no need to make them freeware...

Making them account wide when you first buy them with TRP or ZCoins is ok, just don't make them free....

And also the other way around: they should also drop in pve (rose focus/paper lantern/prot zodiac staffs/cele/bo/dragon/blablabla/paper fans/shield of the dead)
